Find the voice of love,
If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.
What's looking and what's seeing? There's not that much there.
All suffering is caused by the ego, which is personal identification with the body, mind and conditioning.
The entire universe is God's cosmic motion picture, and that individuals are merely actors in the divine play
You'll never reach a point in your life where everything is solved, all neatly tied up in a bow.
Everything is the divine. Everything is God. Everything is the Self.
The enlightened man is capable of perceiving both unity and multiplicity
"I don't know" is a fine state to be in.
Non volitional living is the recognition of the true state of things.
The resolution of the separateness has to do with going from ego to non-ego, from individual to cosmic, from human to divine. We realize that our deeper nature is God itself. Realizing divine nature means not being an individual; it means being totality, universality, infinity. Nothing is excluded from your sense of self. You realize then that whenever you talk to someone, you are talking to yourself. True love, true compassion, and true generosity arise now because there is no separation between you and the other. You could still feel yourself as an individual who sees how you are unique, but you know too that you are fundamentally connected. At a more intrinsic level, that separateness is not there.
Here's some very good news.
Just Relax. Stop trying to change anything, and recognize what is already here. There may be changes, or there may be no changes, but that is secondary to what is always here.
You are awareness. Awareness is another name for you. Since you are Awareness there is no need to attain or cultivate it. All that you have to do is to give up being aware of other things, that is of not-self. If one gives up being aware of them then pure awareness alone remains, and that is the Self.
When you look into a mirror you see your face as it is; you may wish that some parts of it were different, but the actual fact is shown in the mirror. Now, can you look at your conditioning in a similar way?
Humanity is now faced with a choice: Evolve or die ... If the structures of the human mind remain unchanged, we will always end up re-creating the same world, the same evils, the same dysfunction.
Nothing to do,
Knowing that we are looking for something we already have and are does not, of course, mean that the journey is unnecessary, only that there is a vast and sublime joke waiting to be discovered at its end.
Awakening comes unexpectedly when you do not wait for it, when you live in not-knowing. Only then are you available."
There is a place in all of us that has remained innocent, uncorrupted and untouched by the world. We have to locate that most delicate place. It is a very sensitive place, it's where we feel love - where tenderness and compassion arise, free from self-interest. This place is the hole we have to fall into - and disappear in forever.
You are the unchangeable Awareness in which all activity takes place.
The ego is the defense against enlightenment. I'm not saying that ego is bad or evil because it's not. I'm saying that ego is a social and personal construct and therefore an illusion. But there's nothing wrong with an illusion. A painting is an illusion; a movie is an illusion; a good novel is an illusion. The problem isn't with illusion; the problem is with the emotional attachments and addictions of ego.
When your mind is free, not concerned, or worried, or focused on anything in particular, and your heart is not grasping or clinging to anything, then you are free. The most characteristic quality is that there is no fixation on anything; you're not focused on any issue or experience. Whatever is there, is there. So there is a freedom of mind. The mind is not saying, "I want this," or "I want to look at this," or "It has to be this way." The mind is loose. The expression "hang loose" tells us what it means to be liberated.
If one considers oneself the doer, one has to reap also the fruits of karma. When the ego is destroyed through Self-enquiry, there is neither the doer nor karma. The ever-present State of Liberation alone remains
All is perfect, so perfectly perfect!
Satsang is the invitation to Rest and let Grace dissolve what is unreal. It takes more effort to maintain the persona than to Rest in what Is!
The Buddha spoke gently, "Once a person is caught by belief in a doctrine, one loses all one's freedom". When one becomes dogmatic, that person believes his or her doctrine is the only truth and that all other doctrines are heresy.
Practice is not for freedom but to remove your old habits. Freedom is standing in front of you, smiling at you, as you do your practices. Your old tendencies, which you grasp, are an imaginary wall. This wall is the thought "I am bound and suffering."
The nature of the Self is this same abiding, still intelligence that we call Nature. A deep and true love that animates and cherishes every form equally. It is eternal and wild and knows all is deathless. Looking out of all eyes, it loves itself, eats itself and challenges itself into a full return back to raw wisdom, calm strength, and fierce love. Soaring above, substrating below and rippling through existence, it manifests as form, function, mind, emotion and sensation, beings, weather. Neither divine nor human, nor not divine or human, it is elemental, before existence and human ideas of non-existence. It is not free, nor bound; these are paltry ideas it has never heard of.
Seekers continue to practice all kinds of self-torture without realizing that such ‘spiritual practice’ is a reinforcement of the very ego that prevents them from their natural, free state.
This place is a dream.
Only a sleeper considers it real.
Then death comes like dawn,
and you wake up laughing at
what you thought was your grief.
Enlightenment appears to come in stages, but in truth it happens all at once when it happens. Awakening happens suddenly, like when you turn on a light bulb in the darkness. The darkness immediately disappears. When you turn on your own light, maya, ignorance, disappears. You are home. It happens when you don't want it to happen. As long as you want it to happen there is somebody who wants it to happen. That somebody has to disappear. The person that wants it to happen is keeping you back. That is the personal I. Silence is the best way to wake up.
There may be one thousand mirrors, each reflecting a different reflection of the sun. There are not one thousand suns. There is one sun shining in all. Reflections may be different. Sun is the same. Sun is one, shining in everything, in every atom. Same.
Consciousness is the same. It may appear to be a bird, or animal, or tree, or rock, or human. When you realize That, you will not suffer. You will enjoy. You don't need anything when you are total. This is absolute, total, complete, perfect. All emptiness. All consciousness.
Don't give rise to the notion 'I', and instantly you will see who you are.
Once you know with absolute certainty that nothing can trouble you but your own imagination, you come to disregard your desires and fears, concepts and ideas and live by truth alone.
Everything is pouring out of you. When you know yourself as the Self, it becomes spontaneously clear that this world is arising in you. All the beings, they are appearing in you. You are in them, and they are in you. It cannot be learnt; It is a revelation.
Nothing is wrong with you, but the ideas you have of yourself are altogether wrong. It is not you who desires, fears and suffers, it is the person built on the foundation of your body by circumstances and influences. You are not that person.
The final obstacle in meditation is ecstasy; you feel great bliss and
When the bud breaks, it becomes a flower.
Faith is stepping into the unknown and being comfortable with uncertainty and trusting your higher self
Love allows freedom; not only allows, but strengthens freedom. And anything that destroys freedom is not love. It must be something else. Love and freedom go together, they are two wings of the same bird. Whenever you see that your love is going against your freedom, then you are doing something else in the name of love. Let this be your criterion: freedom is the criterion; love gives you freedom, makes you free, liberates you. And once you are totally yourself, you feel grateful to the person who has helped you. That gratefulness is almost religious. You feel in the other person something divine. He has made you free, or she has made you free, and love has not become a possessiveness.
This body is not me.
The biggest barrier to awakening is the belief that it is something rare.
Heaven is not a place or a condition. It is merely an awareness of perfect oneness.
What's looking and what's seeing? There's not that much there. There's just this simple, ordinary presence, and it is so unadorned. You can run right by it if you're looking for something fancy. It's always been here, it has no age, it doesn't really have any properties or qualities, it's just this intelligence. It's so quiet, that's why they call it silence.
There is only one decision we need to make; either you are working at your Freedom or you are accepting your Bondage.
Don't pretend to be what you are not, don't refuse to be what you are. Your love of others is the result of self-knowledge, not its cause. Without self-realization, no virtue is genuine. When you know beyond all doubting that the same life flows through all that is and you are that life, you will love all naturally and spontaneously.
If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge. Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time. It's very important to be aware of them every time.
There is no greater deception than believing that liberation, which is ever present as one's own nature, will be attained at some later stage.
Everything is preordained. Even when I raise my finger like this, it is preordained. Do not be egotistical and believe that you have any power over everybody or anybody, or that you are the doer. It's a privilege to have been born on this earth, and the reason you have been born is to find your real Self. Go for it, do it, and become free.
I used to believe that love was something I had to do. That it was something I had to find. That it was a goal to reach or a state to experience. That it was a desired quality of a separate person. For a time, I even refused to use the word 'love'. "Love is just a concept!", I would exclaim. "Love comes and goes!" "There is nobody here who loves!" "Love implies two!" These days, I love to use the word love. Why not! It's simply a word that points to this total non-conceptual intimacy right at the heart of present experience. It points to the absolute non-separation between who I am and life itself. No need to find it, or do it, or reach it, or understand it, or even experience it - for it is always right here, closer and more intimate than breathing, prior to all understanding, without an opposite, and indestructible. Call it love, or life, or Being, or nothing, or even refuse to talk about it - even in the midst of apparent devastation, it IS. Even pain is allowed in its radical embrace. The ocean cannot be destroyed by the storm of life. It rests in itself, always. You are the love you seek, and this isn't just some comforting New Age belief.
The Furnace of the Beloved -- by Jeff Foster
And even when the pain becomes unbearable,
Its heart stops when yours does.
It does not know coming and going.
For your cry is its cry,
Listen, and you can hear it calling, always.
We all burn in its fire.

Nothing to lose.
Let’s rest here
Nowhere to move.
Let’s just stay
Nothing to fix.
Only what is.
Why not trust
Nothing to judge.
Nowhere to turn.
Let’s just see,
Nothing to know.
Nowhere to go.
Nowhere to go.
Nowhere to go.
